Insurance
I am an out of network provider. Finding the right counselor is an intimate and at times frustrating endeavor. Finding the right counselor on a specific insurance plan can be even more difficult. In addition, treatment plans and specific interventions are not always approved, even if they are in the client’s best interest. Therefore, I have made the decision to be an out of network provider. I can provide a “super bill” that you can submit to your insurance company for possible reimbursement. A super bill is a detailed record of payment with special codes for what kind of service was provided along with my license number. I recommend calling your insurance to find out what reimbursement will look like for an out-of-network provider.

FAQs
What should I expect from my first session?
All services will be offered through virtual telehealth. I have experienced great success in treating clients with this modality. I can answer all logistical questions on what this will look like during your free 15 minute consult.
Will my insurance cover counseling costs?
I recommend that you call your insurance company to obtain information about your out of network mental health benefits. You can receive a receipt called a super bill with the necessary information for you to file directly with your insurance company. Please note payment is due at the time service is provided.
How long is a session and how often will I meet with the counselor?
An average individual session lasts between 45 and 50 minutes. How often we meet and the length of treatment will be determined by your goals and the severity of the issues you wish to address, as well as your motivation to actively participate in treatment. I will be able to provide a more accurate answer to this question after your initial assessment.
What if I have to cancel my session?
There will be no charge to you as long as your session is cancelled 24 hours prior to the scheduled appointment. Sessions cancelled with less than a 24 hour notice will be charged the full fee.
